A WOMAN had to be cut free from her vehicle after a three-car collision in Lye on Saturday (May 16).
Emergency services were called to Balds Lane at about 3.20pm on Saturday afternoon after three vehicles – including a parked taxi – were involved in a crash.
A two-year-old boy, who was a pedestrian when the incident occurred, also suffered from minor head injuries and was taken to hospital for precautionary checks before being released shortly afterwards.
West Midlands Fire Service crews had to use a cutting machine to remove the roof from one vehicle in order to get the female casualty out of the car.
The woman, who was suffering from neck and spinal injuries, was released on a long board.
West Midlands Ambulance Service took the woman to Russells Hall Hospital after sending two ambulances to the incident.
Two other women were complaining of neck injuries and were seen to by the ambulance personnel who were at the scene.
West Midlands Police Service was also called to the collision.
