FIVE Redditch women are taking part in a sponsored skydive to raise money for three animal charities.

Lisa Butler, Angela Ralph, Karen Poulter, Suzy Box and Jilly Pemberton have been raising money for the Soi Dog Foundation, the Dogs Trust and Redwings Horse Sanctuary.

On Friday, May 22 a fancy dress fundraising event held at Arrow Valley Health Club raised £210.

Mrs Butler said: "It was a fabulous evening where my two instructor friends Emma Land and Stephen Coates gave up their time to teach body combat and body jam to around 40 fitness mad people."

So far the group have raised around £2,000 altogether.

On Sunday, June 7 the team travel to Hinton Airfield in Northamptonshire and experience free-falling from an aircraft.

She added: "It's two weeks until the big day, where we'll be jumping from a plane at around 13,000 feet all in aid of raising as much money as we can to provide animals with a future free from fear, pain and suffering.

We're absolutely petrified about doing the jump, but have great passion for animal welfare and raising lots of money and awareness of the charities amazing work."
