A MOTORCYCLIST had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash in Inkberrow, near Alcester, this morning.

An air ambulance and two regular ambulances were called to the scene at the junction of the A422 and the B4092 at about 9.45am.

Paramedics found the motorcyclist, a 69-year-old man, had suffered a serious arm injury and a suspected fracture to his leg and gave him painkillers.

He was then airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where his condition is currently unknown.
