A MAN has died following a serious assault outside a Worcestershire pub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 58-year-old man from Redditch suffered serious head injuries following an assault outside the Duck Inn in Pheasant Lane at around 1.15am.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham in a critical condition but he died in the afternoon.
John Bennett, aged 65 and of Salford Close, Redditch, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with manslaughter.
Police are still appealing for any witnesses who may have been at the scene or have information leading up to the incident, to contact DC 2421 Mackay, quoting incident number 49s of 20th June.
