A GROUP of Stourbridge climate change campaigners have met with the town’s MP Margot James in Westminster as they took part in a mass lobby to tackle the issue.
Stourbridge supporters of Christian Aid were among thousands of others to take part in the lobby in support of The Climate Coalition’s ‘For The Love Of...’ campaign.
They spoke to Ms James about the things that they love and want to protect from climate change as well as sharing their vision of a cleaner and greener planet.
One of the lobbyists, Mary Reay, said: “It’s really important that we lobby our MPs on the issue of climate change.
“We can all make personal changes, but if changes aren’t made on a national and international level, the effect of climate change is going to be devastating.”
In December, the world’s governments will meet in Paris with the aim to reach a fair international climate deal.
