A RECOVERING drug addict from Worcester has admitted stealing eight steaks from a supermarket.
Richard Ristic, of St Swithin’s Street, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday where he admitted stealing the meat worth a total of £43.04 from the Co-operative in Bull Ring, St John’s, on Monday, May 11, as well as a drink and a packet of peanuts from Poundland in The Shambles on Tuesday, May 19.
The court handed the 39-year-old a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £43.04 compensation for the meat as well as a £150 court charge, £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
