WHAT does a music icon and arguably the most gifted guitarist in the world eat to regain his strength after a show stopping performance?
It seems that the answer is smoked salmon sandwiches and strawberry filled scones made by the ladies of the local Women’s Institute.
After coming off stage at the Tenbury Music Festival last week, Andy Fairweather Low made straight for the refreshment tent operated by the WI from St Michael’s.
Mr Fairweather Low played with Eric Clapton for some 18 years and has also played alongside the great BB King, George Harrison, Bob Dylan.
His CV also includes working with Tom Jones, Jimmy Page, The Who, Joe Cocker, The Bee Gees, Jeff Beck, and Buddy Guy.
Playing at Tenbury Music Festival he was celebrated with screaming and shouting as he amazed festival goers and he shouted back at them: "We love you Tenbury Wells."
