AN AWARD-winning Wollaston salon can add another accolade to their ever-growing collection after taking away a top prize at the Salon Business Magazine Awards.

Since opening in early 2014, the titles have been coming in thick and fast for Tim Scott-Wright @ The Hair Surgery, which was recently handed the creative salon of the year trophy.

The team, based in Meriden Avenue, entered a look coloured by Abbie-Lou Hadley and cut and styled by proprietor Tim Scott-Wright, which was a take on the trend for ‘granny grey’ hair.

Judges at the magazine said Tim and his team demonstrated “a clear understanding of the trend and the ability to make it modern and fresh, whilst still remaining beautiful”.

Tim, who has already enjoyed a wave of personal success, having been voted Midlands hairdresser of the year on three occasions, expressed his delight at his salon winning their second award of the year.

He said: “We are really happy to have won this award for our creative work. We will definitely display our award with pride.”

After winning Hair Magazine's best regional salon in June, Tim and his staff have been nominated in another three industry awards that will be announced later on in the year.

These include best new salon at the Creative Head ‘Most Wanted Awards’ and best newcomer at the British Hairdressing Business Awards, while staff member Brook Evans has been shortlisted for an award in the junior of the year category.
