FIREFIGHTERS were called to help rescue a kitten which had become trapped under floorboards at a house in Windsor Avenue, St John’s, Worcester earlier today.
RSPCA officers called for assistance from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service just after midday.
A spokesman from the fire service said the male kitten had been missing for a few days when his owners realised he had crawled under a kitchen unit and become trapped under the floorboards.
The crew from Worcester Fire Station managed to free the cat who was hungry, but otherwise unhurt.
