HOUSEHOLDS in Worcester are being urged to make sure they don’t lose their vote.
Forms will soon be delivered across the city, giving residents the chance to check that everyone who has the right to vote is recorded on the electoral register.
Everyone needs to be registered on an individual basis, otherwise they risk losing their vote in next May’s elections for City Councillors and the Police and Crime Commissioner.
Lesley Meagher, acting electoral registration officer at Worcester City Council, said: “Anyone who wants to vote must be registered. To make sure you are able to have your say at the elections next year, simply check the form when it arrives and return it as promptly as possible.
“If you’re not currently registered, we’ll send you information explaining how to do this or you can just go online to apply to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.”
