AN AFTERNOON of fun for all the family raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is being held at a Lye pub this weekend.
Top Bell, in Belmont Road, is hosting the fun day on Sunday (August 2), featuring a number of fun activities lasting into the evening.
Starting at 1pm, the event includes a prize raffle, barbecue, curry and rice, bouncy castle, face painting and other children’s activities.
Two local singers – John Grant and Tim Shilvock – will be performing, before Pete & Ingrid host a karaoke and disco later in the evening.
Trina Meacham, organiser, said: “We have a number of activities taking place throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
“Midlands Air Ambulance is such a worthy local cause which does a lot of good work for many people across the area.”
The charity, based in Dudley Road, supports the air ambulances which perform more than 2,000 missions a year, needing to raise a minimum of £6.5m per year to keep its three helicopters manned and operational.
