AN estate near Worcester will transport people back in time this summer.

Witley Court in Great Witley has a packed programme of family- friendly events which will bring Witley’s heyday to life with a different event each week.

Events include an Ugly Bug Safari, which will be led by a ‘Victorian’ explorer, or people can take part in a spot of croquet on the lawn or other Edwardian games.

Event manager, Jenny Davie, said: "In its day, Witley was the place to be to have a good time and this summer we will be bringing some of that partying spirit back.

“Our summer-long series of events gives young time-travellers the chance to experience some Victorian pursuits in a beautiful setting. I’m really excited about our Victorian Fete and Travelling Show. It’s a brand new event, with lots of colourful characters and things to do."

Witley Court and garden is open from 10am to 6pm every day throughout the summer.
