THE borough’s mental health chiefs are holding a forum on Wednesday (August 26) focusing on support for those with mental illness within the community.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust will host the forum, which takes place quarterly, at The Crossing at St Paul’s in Walsall from 11am until 1pm.

Attendees will hear from various community support organisations as well as getting the chance to find out more about local services and have a say about what they think of the trust’s services.

Gill Cooper, non-executive director at the trust, said: “The trust is committed to listening to service users and responding to their suggestions for ways we can improve.

“We encourage anyone to come along and attend the forum and find out more about mental health services in the community.”

Lunch will be provided and transport is available for service users and carers who need it. Anyone is welcome to attend, but the trust said booking is essential.
