FORGOTTEN arts will be revived at a festival near Worcester.

The Fold in Bransford is preparing to host its eighth Earth Fest on Sunday, October 4.

The festival is a celebration of local food, drink, music and crafts and also provides a space for people to teach and learn forgotten crafts, such as willow-weaving, wood carving and more.

This year's event will also coincide with the venue opening a new attraction.

Caroline Atkinson, one of the event's organisers, said it's always a "fantastic occasion".

"Earth Fest is always brilliant fun, and on the day we will be officially launching our new Farm Shop, which we are really excited about. We also have our new nature trail for people to try out. That has been a great success so far," she said.

This year people can get involved in ceramic art, coppice crafts, weaving, knitting, wood turning, creating rag rugs, blacksmithing and more.

A number of local bands will provide musical entertainment throughout the festival, which runs from 10am until 4pm, and children can enjoy face painting and a traditional merry-go-round.

A number of charities and animal conservation groups will be on hand to talk more about their work and there will be a display of vintage tractors.

Those fancying something different to eat can explore the new Fold Farm Shop.

The shop sells fresh and local food including apples, plums, organic eggs, jams, chutneys, cheese, bread and meats as well as ethical cosmetics, supplements and skincare products.

Entry to the festival costs £4 per adult and under 16s go free.

There is also a free shuttle bus running from stand J in the CrownGate bus station, from the Bull Ring in St Johns and from Church Street, Barnard's Green and Malvern Link Station in Malvern.

There is still time to have a stall at the festival. Potential exhibitors can call 01886 833633.
