GENEROUS servings of cake and coffee will go down a treat for charity tomorrow (Friday).

As reported in your Worcester News on Monday, people all around the county will be serving up tea, coffee and cake at home and in the workplace to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the charity's World's Biggest Coffee Morning tomorrow (Friday), unless stated otherwise.

Worcester Mums is inviting parents, carers and grandparents to join them for coffee at Broadheath Village Hall today (Thursday).

Group member, Rachel Gunnell, said: “It started as a simple coffee morning, but then we thought about adding a couple of stalls so parents could buy some gifts and goodies while helping to raise even more money for Macmillan. We’ve been overwhelmed by the interest and now have some really interesting businesses coming along with fantastic offers for those attending."

Also today, the Clinique counter in House of Fraser will host a raffle and coffee morning from 10am.

Droitwich Spa Area Forum for Older People is taking part in the event tomorrow with treats on sale at Teacups tearoom, Gurneys Lane from 10am until noon.

Thorneloe Lodge Surgery on Barbourne Road will serve up treats tomorrow from 9am until midday and Tenbury Swimming Pool will do the same from 9am.

Marks and Spencer in Worcester city centre will host a coffee morning in the cafe tomorrow and the store will also have live music to entertain shoppers.

Christ Church Hall in Malvern will serve goodies between 10am and midday tomorrow and Dines Green Primary School will welcome parents and local people for tea from 8.30am.

Barratt Homes West Midlands will take part tomorrow at the Orchards Development in Evesham.

Tesco in St Peters, Worcester, will hold their second Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow from midday in the Colleague Room upstairs.

Hallmark Hulme Solicitors are inviting staff, clients and contacts to join them for tea at their offices in Sansome Place tomorrow from 10am until midday.

Specsavers on Broad Street will tempt passers-by with a slice of cake between 10am and 4pm and on Saturday, the Maple Leaf in Lower Wick will be selling a variety of cakes, scones and meringues from midday until 4pm.

Also on Saturday, Pershore and District Naval Association will serve treats from their club on the High Street from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
