PEOPLE travelling from Worcester to Malvern can now ride on style on four shiny new buses.
Four double-decker buses — the first batch from a £2.4m investment — have been released on to the roads, with nine more single deck buses expected towards the end of November.
The buses come following a contribution from Worcestershire County Council of £200k towards the investment through their Section 106 fund.
The new vehicles are destined for Service 44 that runs from Worcester to Great Malvern via Lower Wick, Powick and Malvern.
The buses come fitted with leather seats, CCTV and Wi-Fi providing customers with free internet access during their journey, as well as full wheelchair access, extra space for pushchairs and more leg room.
Nigel Eggleton, managing director of First Worcester, said: “This is great news for our customers, I am sure our new buses will be very well received. The new buses will be among the best and most eco-friendly in the city."
All new vehicles will be fitted with Euro 6 engines, which aim to improve air quality within the city.
