A NUMBER of staff and students had to be assessed by medics at a Worcestershire school following reports of a chemical incident.
Ten patients were assessed by medics at Holy Trinity School on Birmingham Road in Kidderminster at around 11.30am yesterday (Monday) after West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) received reports of a number of students and staff "feeling unwell."
A WMAS spokesman said: “The school was evacuated after a number of pupils reported feeling nauseous and having sore throats.
“Nine pupils, all aged between 12 and 16, and also a staff member from the school were assessed by medics. Following assessment they were all discharged and did not require further treatment.
“The trust dispatched two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trusts Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene. Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
“All pupils were allowed back in to the school after a short while following consultation with the fire service.”
