A LYE man carried out sickening sex attacks on a boy and a girl after using different tactics to lure his victims.

Wolverhampton Crown Court was told David Harper groomed one child and bullied the second during offences which began in 2007.

Harper, aged 23, of High Street admitted six charges of sexual assault, four of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and three more of sexual activity with a child.

He was jailed for nine and a half years and made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Protection Order by Judge Kristin Montgomery QC.

He was also told he must register as a Sex Offender for the rest of his life.

The judge told him he had worked in different ways to “secure the sexual compliance” of his two victims – a boy and a girl.

He had groomed the girl with gifts, said the judge who added: “You bullied and manipulated the boy.”

It was important, she stressed, that he had spared both victims the ordeal of having to give evidence before a jury by his guilty pleas.

Hugh O’Brien-Quinn, prosecuting, said the offences came to light when the boy revealed what had been going on and the police were notified.

Christopher O’Gorman<for Harper, told the court his client, a man with no previous convictions, had been extremely co-coperative when questioned by police after his arrest.
