PUPILS from a Worcester school have dressed up as Saxon settlers as part of a fun day of learning.
Year 4 children from RGS Springfield dressed in Saxon clothes for a visit to Bishop Wood outdoor centre in Stourport.
The children were immersed in the topic and asked to imagine they had collected belongings from home and set sail for Britannia.
After a walk, they were told they could sit in a Saxon hall, make pots, brooches and woven wool and play Saxon games.
The children made temporary shelters and told stories around a camp fire.
Children said they particularly enjoyed working together to collect wood and make their shelters.
The trip took place on Wednesday, April 20.
