REPAIR cafe, an international initiative where people can get items repaired, is opening for the first time in Worcester this May.
Repair Cafe is an organisation which started in The Netherlands, and has branches all over Europe and the UK.
The scheme encourages residents to bring household electrical items, furniture, bikes and clothes, which would struggle to be repaired by tradespeople, to the cafe to be repaired for free.
The cafe aims to reduce waste and extend the life of household items, while also providing a meeting place.
Repair Cafe Malvern has been running successfully for some time, which has led to the opening of the Worcester branch on Saturday, May 14.
The branch will be open between 11am and 2pm, at STARS adult day care centre, in Stanley Road, Worcester.
