VOLUNTEERS and staff at Kemp Hospice are busy putting the finishing touches to their annual Fashion Show event.

The Fashion Show will take place at Kidderminster Town Hall on Wednesday, November 2, from 7.30pm.

Lilian Griffiths, retail events manager at Kemp, said: "It is a huge challenge every year to come up with a new theme, and we decide what we are going to do straight after our last show and then we spend the whole year putting together suitable pieces from the many donations we receive.

"This year's theme is 'Best of the Small Screen'."

Celebrating 35 years as a charity, Kemp Hospice will support around 1,000 people in Wyre Forest, their families and their carers this year, with the hospice only be able to do so thanks to the continuing generosity and support of local people and businesses.

Over recent years, the charity has received less government funding but continues to see an increase in demand for its services.

Kemp's services are provided free of charge and delivered by a skilled clinical team, with the hospice needing to raise more than £940,000 annually to continue to provide services, the majority of which is raised through voluntary donations and support of the local community.

Lynne Jones, head of retail at Kemp, added: "The lovely thing about this annual event is how it draws in people from across the community spectrum to help, including local companies such as Vision Labs, Swinton Insurance and Barclays Bank, who also generously sponsor the show with match funding."

Tickets for the show are £7.50, which includes a glass of wine within the price, and can be purchased from all Kemp shops, the hospice or Kidderminster Town Hall.
