REDUNDANCIES have been announced at a major nationwide company following the closure of its head office in Bromsgrove.

BHSF Occupational Health have closed their headquarters on Hanbury Road in Stoke Prior as a result of recent business acquisitions and a review of operations.

The company, who provide health services in the workplace, will relocate its headquarters to Edgbaston in Birmingham, which will "regrettably result in a number of redundancies".

Philip McCrea, Managing Director of BHSF Occupational Health Limited, said: "Due to recent business acquisitions which give the company nationwide coverage, and following a review of operations, BHSF Occupational Health has decided to relocate its headquarters from its current location in Bromsgrove to Edgbaston in Birmingham.

"This will offer greater strategic opportunities and will enable the business to offer a more streamlined service to our increasing network of customers in the Birmingham area.

"In addition the relocation will provide an appropriate platform on which to build our strategy to develop a national quality-driven occupational health service.

"Regrettably this will result in a number of redundancies as we centralise our operations and harmonise our national occupational network but these will be kept to the minimum possible."

BHSF acquired London-based rival Nexus Healthcare in September, becoming the eighth such purchase by the company since 2012.
