WYRE Forest children are being encouraged to write an instant Christmas classic to win £1,500 for their school.
The competition, run by Cartridge save, is offering the reward to whichever primary school can produce the best Christmas story, as well as a festive stocking filled with £50 worth of prizes for themselves.
Sam Hay, writer of the ‘Undead Pets’ series, will be judging the budding novelists’ work - 50 of which will be published in the annual ‘Write Christmas’ e-book this December.
Sam Hay said: “It’s an excellent opportunity for kids to unleash their imaginations and get writing!”
Entrants must be between the ages four and eleven and have written a story or poem of no more than 200 words. Closing date for entries is December 5.
Entries must be submitted via a parent, guardian or teacher and more information can be found by visiting www.cartridgesave.co.uk/printwhatmatters/write-christmas
