POLICE have closed a suspected drug den in Kidderminster following complaints from neighbours.
Officers from the Wyre Forest Safer Neighbourhood Teams served the closure order on the occupants of 52 Albert Road.
Under the order, granted on Tuesday, November 15, under section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, officers have the power to evict occupants who will not be allowed to return for three months.
Inspector Gareth Lougher, of West Mercia Police, said: "The order means that we are able to evict all residents from the property and prevent access by anyone other than the owner.
"This will provide local residents, who have suffered greatly from the effects of crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour from the address some much-deserved closure.
"We are committed to protecting people from harm and I would like to thank members of the local community for their help in obtaining this order."
The order follows the arrest of seven people after officers executed drugs warrants at eight addresses in Kidderminster on Monday, November 14.
Five men, aged between 34 and 46, and two women, aged 27 and 50, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs when officers attended properties in Albert Road, Park Street and Bewdley Road.
They have all been released on police bail until December 15, pending further enquiries.
