BARGAIN store B&M has announced it will be opening a brand new store in the city next month.

The brand will be bringing a Bargains store at the former Homebase site in Bath Road, Broomhall, which is due to open its doors for the first time on Friday, February 3.

The store will create more than 40 temporary and permanent jobs including sale assistant, floor managers and cleaners.

A spokesperson from B&M said: "We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

"We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in a few weeks."

The store will be next door to the new £2million Aldi which opens in the spring.

It will be the second B&M in the city, with another branch based in St Martin's Quarter.
