A HASBURY mother-of-two had a whopping 19 inches cut from her hair this week for charity.

Abigayle Barnsley is raising money for the Little Princess Trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Her locks have been sent off to be made into wigs for young cancer patients.

And the 23-year-old nursery assistant smashed her target of raising £100 after donations flooded in online taking her grand total to £385.

She said: "It was a big day when I had the chop done at SM Hair and Beauty, Hagley Road.

"In the end we ended up taking 19 inches off my hair but it was all for an amazing cause and all this wonderful money raised for such a worthwhile charity.

"I cannot believe we have now raised over £385 and hopefully the money will carry on going up."

She added: "Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and gave me even more motivation to do it."

The Little Princess Trust is a children's cancer charity which supports as many boys and girls as it can and providing free wigs to sick children.

The charity also supports the development of less aggressive and less toxic cancer treatments.
