IRISH stand-up comedian, comedy writer and actor Grainne Maguire will be shocking audiences at Bromsgrove's Artrix next month.

Grainne is well-known for her controversial tweet to the Irish Taoiseach about her menstrual cycle, which soon went viral, and it is the same candid attitude she brings to her stand-up performances that makes her a hit with fans.

As well as being nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, Grainne has performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival and the Cats Laugh Festival in Kilkenny.

She has appeared on BBC1's Question Time, Daily Politics, ITV1's Agenda and Radio 4's The Now Show.

Grainne will be presenting her new show Great People Making Great Choices at the Artrix Studio on Saturday, February 11 at 8pm.

Tickets cost £12, or £10 for over 60s and students, and are available from artrix.co.uk or 01527 577330.
