Moreton-in-Marsh based Cotswold Cycles-TREK race team have secured a three-year sponsorship deal with local business, Cutts of Campden Ford.

The family business has been trading in Campden since 1921 and is a major sponsor of the annual, fourteen day Chipping Campden International Music Festival. The community minded company is the principal sponsor of the Campden Music society and supports the local cricket and tennis clubs as well as Ebrington's Reach for the Skies cycling event.

Nicholas Cutts said: “I’m very impressed with what the team have accomplished in just a few years. Their ethos is to support each other and encourage cycling in the local community at all levels, which fits with our community values.”

In 2016, their second year, Cotswold Cycles-TREK achieved 29 top ten finishes and 13 podiums across four disciplines; cross-country, marathon, road and triathlon. They also secured the Veteran National Marathon Championship title. This year, the team have expanded to include two junior riders, elite female mountain biker Rosie Brown, and National Hunt jockey Graham Watters who’s success on two wheels seems set to rival his equine accomplishments. Team manager, Don White commented: “We have a long term vision to help our riders progress in their sport no matter what level they are starting from. To be able to grow and develop the team with the support of partners who want to be a part of that vision is very exciting.”

“Our goal for next year is to develop a women’s team, and Cutts’ support will help us achieve that.”

Cotswold Cycles-TREK’s annual 60 mile road race, held as part of the Steele Davis Cotswold League, will take place on Sunday 18th June.
