TWO men have been arrested after a crime spree including damage to Malvern Splash Leisure Centre.

Overnight on Saturday (February 25) saw offenders smashing off wing mirrors and using these as weapons to hurl at windows and windscreens.

The incidents happened on Court Road, Priory Road, Upper Chase Road and Clarence Road in Malvern leaving a trail of destruction.

Offenders smashed the driver and passenger windows of a Royal Mail Red Peugeot Expert Van on Priory Road and broke off the wing mirror.

 This wing mirror was used to smash the front panel of glass at Malvern Splash Leisure Centre.

The mirror was then recovered and sent to the scenes of crime office for examination.

The offenders also struck both wing mirrors from a black Mini on Clarence Road and one wing mirror from a Vauxhall Corsa on Court Road.

They also smashed the wing mirror off a Silver Peugeot 208, destroying it in the process doing the same to two black Mazdas and a black Audi Quattro on the same road.

An object also made a small hole in the upstairs stainless glass window of a house on Upper Chase Road, part of a car wing mirror was found in the garden.

A total of nine incidents were reported to police during the crime spree and police arrested two men on Saturday night.

The incidents all happened between 5.30pm on Friday night and 4am on Saturday morning.

A statement on the Malvern Cops Twitter page read: "'A' shift arrested two males for criminal damage to several vehicles in Court Rd, Clarence Rd, Priory Rd, Malvern o/night 25 Feb."

A Priory and Malvern Wells safer neighbourhood team statement said: “Overnight from Malvern Splash Priory Rd, Malvern WR14 3DS through to Court Road Malvern Wr14 3EG we have received nine reports of criminal damage to vehicles and property.

“ A trail of destruction, smashing off wing mirrors and using these as projectiles to smash house windows and windscreens.”
