A REDDITCH resident hit an intruder with a walking stick after they spotted him searching through their bedroom draws.
The incident in Johnson Close, took place at 8pm on Tuesday, March 14, when the resident heard a noise in the hallway and saw the intruder in the bedroom.
Nothing was stolen and the crook left via a back door.
There were two more similar incidents the same street that week.
Another property had a television stolen and was found with its kitchen window smashed and rear door wide open on the same night.
A further home had stolen wine and food stolen from a freezer and a board covering a kitchen window was broken between Tuesday, March 14 and Friday, March 17.
