A MAN suffered an injury to his ankle after he was hit by a car in a hit and run incident in Bewdley.

A man is his 40s was walking along Load Street at around 11.45am on Saturday, May 13, when a red car - thought to be a 17 plate Ford Fiesta - collided with him.

The driver failed to stop and headed off in an unknown direction.

The man went to hospital, where he received treatment for an ankle injury.

Enquiries are currently on-going, but West Mercia Police officers are keen to identify the driver and would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, or who saw the car and the manner in which it was being driven before the incident.
