A CYCLIST was injured in a hit and run in Horsefair, in Kidderminster.

The cyclist was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta at around 10.45pm on Thursday (May 18) in Stourbridge Road.

The vehicle failed to stop and left the scene along Hurcott Road, heading towards Chester Road.

A passing police officer found the the man, a 40-year-old cyclist, lying in the road.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics, but only suffered minor bruising to his legs.

A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen to identify the driver and would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or who saw the car and the manner in which it was being driven before the collision."
