SEVEN crossbreed puppies at Dogs Trust Evesham have been named after a well-known film.

To coincide with the release of the new Pirates of the Caribbean film, the seven puppies have been named – Captain, Jack, Sparrow, Ocean, Pearl, Treasure and Davey Jones, in a bid to find them loving homes.

The fifteen-week-old pups arrived at the Wickhamford-based rehoming centre as an unwanted litter but their carers are hopeful that they’ll soon find a family.

Tracey Spiers, rehoming centre assistant manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: "These pups haven’t had a great start to life but they are now ready to be treasured by a loving new owner.

"These mischievous little pups are only fifteen-weeks-old and full of energy so we are looking for active homes with patient owners who appreciate the demands of young puppies and are at home most of the day to help them settle in. "They are likely to grow into big, strong dogs so owners with experience of owning large breeds would be beneficial.

“They need homes with secure gardens to play around in and loving new families prepared to dedicate time to their training and socialisation.

"They are super little dogs who would make the perfect pets in the right homes and we don’t think it’ll be too long before they find their first-mates who can offer them the ultimate treasure of a loving new home.”
