POLICE want to speak to witnesses who saw a crash in which a taxi overturned and a woman was taken to hospital.
The woman, aged 76, was driving her yellow Vauxhall Corsa when it crashed with a black Peugeot Eurotaxi at the Twyford roundabout, in Evesham, on Saturday, June 17.
SHe suffered leg, arm and back injuries in the crash and was taken to Redditch hospital by a land ambulance and she is still receiving treatment.
An 81-year-old man who was in the passenger seat next to her also sustained a cut to the top of his head and an elbow injury.
The 36-year-old taxi driver reportedly suffered no injuries in the incident although his passenger was taken to hospital with pain in his shoulder, neck, head and back.
The incident happened at about 6.50pm and left the woman with leg, arm and back injuries.
PC Darryn Van Rooyen, of West Mercia Police, said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing but I would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.”
