THE teenager killed in a road incident just outside Bromyard on Saturday has been named.

Harry Brodie, aged 19, from Bromyard, died after he was hit by a van on the A465 just outside the town.

His parents, Debbie and Ian, said: "As parents we are truly heartbroken at the tragic and cruel loss of our beautiful son and youngest brother to Matt and Josh.

"He was easy going, laid back and lived life to the fullest by embracing every opportunity that came his way.

"His passion in life could be experienced through his love and production of music; this was developed and enriched whilst studying electronic music production at dBs Music in Bristol.

"Harry was a very active person and loved playing basketball, going on long bike rides and had a keen eye for a view or sunset which he found mesmerising.

"He was kind and thoughtful, but never sought praise or reward. He was a very special young man, who touched so many hearts and really valued all his friendships.

"Harry was very much loved and will forever be missed.

"The family would like to express their thanks for all of the support and love they have received.

"All of the messages and stories from Harry's friends are helping us greatly and we want to encourage people to continue reaching out to us with stories and memories of Harry."

Police are continuing to investigate, and PC Mark Bullingham said: "We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 700s of June 24.
