THE organisation which secures health services for the county has improved its rating from NHS England.
In 2015/16 the Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) was rated as inadequate.
But following work undertaken within the CCG to improve performance, the CCG has now been officially rated as good.
The ratings measure the performance of CCGs in a number of key areas, including leadership, governance, financial control, partnership working and clinical outcomes.
Simon Hairsnape, the CCG’s accountable officer, said “We know that there is more for us to do and we need to build on the work done so far.
"The challenges within the NHS are well known, and we are committed to working with our local community and partners to continue to find new ways of delivering the best services for our patients."
