THE woman whose body was found in Halesowen has now been identified as detectives confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious.

The 42-year-old - who has not been named - was discovered by a member of the public in Leasowes Lane at around 11.25am on Wednesday, January 17.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent a paramedic officer to the scene after being alerted at 11.55am but a spokesman for the ambulance trust said: "Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the patient, a woman, and she was confirmed dead at the scene."

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "The cause of death is not yet known and more tests will be carried out.

"A file is being prepared for the coroner, while the woman's family are being supported by specially trained officers."
