FOUR cars crashed in Guarlford Road, Malvern with all three emergency services attending.

The incident just after 6pm last night saw Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service called by the police.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital with minor head and hand injuries.

A fire service spokesman said: "We were called to a four vehicles crash, no people were trapped.

"Ambulance service staff gave precautionary checks to all involved."

Toby Kempton, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service group commander tweeted: "In attendance at running call RTC involving 4 cars.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 6.07pm to reports of a three-vehicle RTC at the junction of Guarlford Road and Rectory Lane.

"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"We assessed three patients in total, two of whom were discharged at the scene.

"The third, a woman in her 50s – who was the driver of one of the cars, managed to self-extricate from the vehicle.

"She was treated for minor head and hand injuries, given pain relief and transported to Worcester Royal Hospital."
