A NEW weekly family yoga course is being launched in Stourbridge.
Rainbow Yoga at the Soul Shala, in Stourbridge High Street, is holding classes every Friday from 4.30-5.30pm.
Organiser Leanne Barnett says family yoga helps parents bond with their offspring as well as developing children’s coordination, balance, motor skills and concentration.
She said: “Family is so important, time and care are needed to nurture it and make it work; yoga is perfect for this.
“There are very few activities for parents and children to do together.
“In most children’s extra-curricular activities, the parents drop them off and come back after an hour, or they just sit and watch; there is no parent/child interaction. But Family Yoga is different!”
Family yoga classes cost £5 for an adult and a child, with each additional child costing £1.
Rainbow Yoga is also holding a four-week summer holiday Acro Yoga level 1 course on Wednesdays (August 1, 8, 15 and 22) from 1-2pm.
