BEN is a black 11-month-old lurcher puppy who is looking for his forever home.

He is in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch and is described as friendly, sweet natured and affectionate.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Ben has typical puppy behaviour and is very playful, enjoying all his toys, but his favourite pastime is chasing a tennis ball, which he likes to be thrown again and again!

"Ben is clicker trained and knows sit, down, wait and walking to heel. He is a lovely boy who really deserves lots of tender loving care."

An adult home with lots of company and a large secure garden would be ideal for Ben.

"He loves long walks and walks well on the lead," said Mrs Haynes. "He is well socialised with many other animals and will walk calmly past horses and cows.

"Ben is brilliant travelling in the car on long journeys.

"He is fit, healthy and in excellent condition."

Ben is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He will be rehomed with six weeks' free pet insurance.

Dogs are not on site and continue to be boarded at private kennels.

The charity holds its final car boot sale of 2018 on Sunday, August 5, from 2pm until 5pm at The Holdings.

Mrs Haynes said: "There is no need to be up at the crack of dawn! Car booters only please, no traders, priced just £5 per car boot.

"All proceeds will go to our animals in care."

Last week's featured RSPCA cat, Betsy, has now gone to a new home after a successful appeal.
