FOR A-level students collecting their grades yesterday, it must feel like the end of the world if you don’t achieve your predicted grades - but you should be proud of your hard work regardless of the marks.

A-levels are the biggest jump in education you can go through and the difference between them and your GCSEs is immense.

And if you’ve not got the grades you wanted, there are still so many options available: clearing is available for those who are not offered a university place, there are apprenticeships, you can reapply next year or even take a gap year.

Afterall, how many people really know what they want to do with their life at 18?

Try to not take the results to heart and instead go out there and make your dreams happen - as cheesy as it sounds you are the only person who can make it happen.

For those that have done well and are happy with their results, I applaud you. It is such a stressful time and you deserve a well-earned break now beside your next step.
