ONE of the four dogs stolen from a kennel at a house in Chipping Norton has been recovered.

Four English Springer Spaniels were stolen in September, with one of the dogs now reunited with its owners after it had been sold on and the microchip scanned by a vet.

A man saw the dog advertised for sale on Facebook and met with a male in a car park in Kidderminster where £170 cash was handed over for the dog.

The new owner took the six-month-old dog to get microchipped but it had been previously microchipped by its former owner, who was then contacted and reunited with the dog.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "If a deal seems as though it is too good to be true, it probably is and you would be right to question it or be wary of it.

"We are still appealing for information to locate the two other brown and white microchipped six-month-old English Springer Spaniels and a white six-year-old Jack Russell Terrier after they were taken on 25 September."
