A CAR park has been transferred to the ownership of a town council and will be used as a maintenance depot.
Homs Road car park in Ross-on-Wye transferred to Ross Town Council this week.
The car park will be decommissioned as a council car park and the town council will use the space as a depot base for its maintenance activities and vehicles.
Sarah Robson, clerk to the town council, said: “Homs Road car park has been underused for many years and car parking provision elsewhere in Ross has been generally more popular.
"The transfer of ownership is good news for the town as we can ensure that the site is used for greater benefit to the local community.”
