NORTHERN Soul and Motown hits will be played as part of an annual marathon charity fundraiser in Halesowen this weekend.
There will be 13 hours of some of the best tunes of the sixties being played by the collection of DJs at Benjamin’s, in Birmingham Street, on Sunday (May 27), all in aid of Dementia UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Last year’s event, which was held at Spring Meadow Social Club, raised about £1,000 for the two charities.
Running from noon until 1am, 13 DJs – who have all given up there time for free – will be keeping the crowds entertained, while the bar will be open all day.
Among the baker’s dozen of vinyl spinners will be DJs Tigga, Kenny Lee, Allan Day, Hitsville Chalky, Little Scotty, Derek Smith, Matt Blackmore, John Barker, Lynn Timmins, Little Anthony and Neil Foley.
Entry costs £3 on the door.
