SIR – I hope everyone bet on Tiger Roll, the winner of the Grand National.

Actually, if the race of four-and-a-half miles had been run an extra five yards the second horse, Pleasant Company, who was flying, would have won.

The jockey of Pleasant Company, David Mullins, seemed very upset, but with dignity took it on the chin like a real man and they all congratulated the winner.

That’s what the British people love to see – they hate and detest sulking, bad losers who show no dignity in defeat.

Now compare that with David Barlow who writes his continuous bad tempered letters to the Worcester News because Remain lost to Brexit in the EU referendum.

Has this man no shame?

To use David Barlow’s own words, Worcestershire readers must be sick and tired of reading Barlow’s cry baby bad-losing rants.

So finally, Mr Barlow, grow up and take defeat on the chin like any real man would in a losing situation.
