A CAR which was on fire in Redditch yesterday evening (Thursday, November 2) was extinguished by fire crews.
A team of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service firefighters from the town’s station were alerted to and attended the blaze in Plymouth Road at about 7.08pm.
They used two hose reels to put out the flames.
Earlier in the evening, a Redditch crew were sent out to investigate a fire involving overhead cables in Ash Lane, Alvechurch, at about 5.04pm.
Luckily for the team, the fire was out on arrival and the incident was handed over to Western Power Distribution engineers.
