Home run ends for Littleton
7:00am Thursday 25th October 2012 in Sport
LITTLETON lost their unbeaten home record this season with a 3-0 defeat to Bromsgrove Sporting in the Athium Midland Football Combination Premier Division.
In front of a crowd of 152, the high-flying Vale hosts were well beaten by strong, robust opposition.
Littleton’s first league defeat in 12 games followed a 2-0 loss to Bromsgrove in the Worcestershire FA Senior Urn earlier this month.
A Simon Fitter free-kick hit the post for Littleton but Sporting took the lead on 15 minutes with a 15-yard drive from Chris Conway.
Joe Lolley’s effort was deflected over only for Bromsgrove to double their lead when James Turk ran through and fired low past keeper Dan Haywood.
Littleton, who head to Nuneaton Griff on Saturday (3pm), were defiant in the second-half, but Bromsgrove scored through Matt Ross.
