CHRIS Dittmann became the inaugural F3 Cup champion after capping a fine season with a measured drive in the final round at Snetterton.
The 23-year-old from Tewkesbury recorded a Trophy class victory in tricky, damp conditions in Norfolk and was rewarded with a prestigious FIA Formula Two test prize.
Dittmann, who runs the Chris Dittmann Racing team, finished seventh overall and first in class to take the title in race one.
The former Ginetta racer has been a podium regular throughout the 18 contests this season.
He said: “It’s a brilliant feeling to win the F3 Cup title. It hasn’t sunk in yet, it has been a long year but for me it’s been great.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity of an FIA Formula Two test drive.
“Hopefully, I can show what I can do in the car and enjoy the experience.”
