PERSHORE Town were denied a deserved victory by high-flying Nuneaton Griff in a 2-2 Athium Midland Football Combination Premier Division draw.
The hosts created the better chances in a fine start and went ahead when, following good work by Sean Cooke, a ball across the box was driven home by Ben Hayes.
Pershore were stunned just after half-time when they conceded from a set-piece but came storming back with a superb second goal when Richard Congrave beat two players and pulled the ball back for James Rogers to net.
Congrave and Lewis Critcher went close only for the equaliser to arrive in injurytime when a scramble in the goalmouth saw a Nuneaton player stab the ball home.
Pershore, who head to Pelsall Villa on Saturday (3pm), saw their league game at Southam United on Tuesday night postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
