Rangers ready for key clash
12:00pm Thursday 31st January 2013 in Sport
MORETON Rangers host Minsterworth in a battle of Gloucestershire Northern Senior Football League Division Two title-chasers on Saturday (3pm).
Third-placed Moreton are three points behind their visitors having played a game more but both clubs are in touching distance of leaders Hardwicke.
While Gary Barnett’s side’s trip to Viney St Swithins was postponed last weekend, Minsterworth thrashed Barnwood United 9-1 and Hardwicke edged out Stroud 2-1 at home.
Tenth-in-the-table Bourton Rovers, whose home game with Barometrics was also called off, go to mid-table rivals Tuffley Rovers Reserves on Saturday (3pm).
Meanwhile, the Cheltenham Association League programme was decimated by the weather but Tewkesbury- based WMK beat Elmbridge OB 9-6 in a goal-laden Division Three clash.
